Regional Advocacy Trainings
As part of the New York Institute for Self-Advocacy(NYISA) initiative, YOUTH POWER! hosts Regional Advocacy Trainings designed for young people and adults (14+) with developmental/intellectual disabilities throughout the state. These 2 hour trainings are held in the Capital District, New York City, Long Island, Central New York, and Western New York by members of the Emerging Leaders Network who graduated from the Institute.
This self-advocacy training includes topics such strategic sharing, disability history, personal leadership planning, and more! Participants are able to learn from their peers right in their home region. These trainings will be available following the Institute which is held August 3-6, 2018.
